I started out in software development when I left school but got sidetracked and spent the best part of fifteen years as a professional bridge player.

I then fancied a change and returned to development which had changed somewhat since the eighties.

I now work as senior developer for Kaplan Financial who provide business and accountancy training across the world.

I specialise in the application of XML, web services and system integration.

In 2003 I was awarded the title Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for XML
