New book
I'm currently working on a new book for Wrox/Wiley, along with a four other authors.
The lead author is Eric van der Vlist and he's set up a number of collaborative tools such as a wiki to enable the authors and editor to communicate rapidly and effectively, essential as we are spread across four European countries and numerous American states.
It's called Professional Web 2.0 Programming and covers a wide variety of the latest advances and concepts in modern web programming, as well as looking ahead to what's going to happen in the near future.
More information from the project manager and fellow blogger Jim Minatel at Wrox's blog.
I'm scheduled to deliver four chapters covering Design Principles, Non XML Sources, Rich Client Alternatives and Security. One of the great things about writing is how much you learn. It's easy to pick a passing knowledge of a subject but when have to write about it and provide working code examples then you really need to burrow down and learn.
I'll post more nearer to publication date.

Just been trying to work out what Web 2.0 is. This provides a 10 different definition summary:

I fear that much of the introduction to the book will be about trying to define what Web 2.0 is and is not.

You're right, there was a lot of discussion over the title. It was agreed it's not ideal but no-one could think of a better one that encompassed the idea of new technologies etc.
